Michael Laidler

Michael Laidler, raised in Miami, Florida, by a single mother, had to learn how to lead himself before learning how to lead others.

At the age of 19, he joined law enforcement as a police officer in Tallahassee, Florida. At 23 years old, Michael became a Border Patrol Agent in Laredo, Texas, and was a member of specialized field units as well as a K-9 Handler. He then joined the Federal Bureau of Prisons, holding positions that included Correctional Officer, Special Investigative Services Technician, Lieutenant, Special Investigative Agent, and Employee Development Manager.

Michael earned an MA in Business Administration from Morehead State University and a BA degree in Business and Spanish from Florida State University. He is the Area Director for Toastmasters in Beaumont, Texas, and also served as Vice President and President of the Confident Allies Toastmasters Club in Pineville, Louisiana, where he received multiple awards, including Distinguished Toastmaster, First Place in the Toastmasters International Speech contest, and the Evaluation Contests at the Division Level.

Driven to develop self-awareness and leadership skills in first responders and those in stressful positions, Michael delivers keynotes, conducts 360 leader assessments, facilitates mastermind groups, provides executive coaching, and hosts leadership workshops.
